love bacon? orenji smoked bacon salt caramels enrobed in milk chocolate

We love bacon, here at orenji!  And we know that a lot of our friends and clients do, too!  So, we decided to create the perfect bacon-lover's confection: orenji smoked bacon salt caramels enrobed in milk chocolate.

To create these delectable treats, we began with the most important ingredient:  applewood smoked bacon.  Crispy and smoky, this favorite food was crumbled into a fine dust, to be incorporated into our caramels.

The caramels themselves begin with only the finest ingredients:  butter, heavy cream, sugar, and a hint of maple syrup.  After slow cooking to a rich golden brown, we add some delicious fragrant smoked bacon salt, and our bacon "dust."

Once cool, the sticky, buttery caramel is cut into squares, ready for the enrobing process!

We cover our caramel with the finest, smoothest Belgian Callebaut milk chocolate, and finish with a dusting of smoked bacon salt.

Packaged in half pound boxes, these treats are the perfect gift for the bacon-lover or adventurous palate on your holiday gift-giving list!

(If you love bacon, you might also be interested in our caramel bacon popcorn with peanuts, banana chips, and milk chocolate-- see the orenji 2011 Winter Holiday Pricing Guide for more information!)

White Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice Truffles

The time between Thanksgiving and the Winter Holidays is one of our favorite times, here at orenji.  Each year we take a moment and look back at some of our favorite Thanksgiving creations-- especially those that are also perfect for your Winter Holiday celebrations!

One of those items is our White Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice Truffles.  Smooth and creamy, infused with pumpkin and holiday spices, these chocolate confections are a delectable way to end a holiday meal... or the perfect snack if you just can't wait until after dinner!

We start with Belgian Callebaut white chocolate-- the smoothest and finest chocolate in the world (in our opinion).  We infuse the chocolate with freshly roasted pumpkin, cream, holiday spices, and just a touch of pumpkin liqueur!

Hand-rolled and coated in finely ground white chocolate "dust," we drizzle our creations with bittersweet chocolate, for both visual appeal and flavor contrast.

Neatly packaged by the dozen in our signature gold box with orenji ribbon, these might make the perfect gift for that hard-to-shop-for friend, neighbor, or teacher.

Be sure to check out orenji's full line of truffles and confections-- including our brand new (and incredible) Bittersweet Chocolate and Spiced Pear Cognac Truffles-- in our Winter Holiday Pricing Guide... out soon!  Be sure to check back!

Sweet Fortune! Available Year Round!

During Halloween, we sold many festive and seasonal treats… This year, however, we also sold some of our Sweet Fortune line of Belgian chocolates filled with exotic infused truffle ganache fillings. They are, perhaps, an adult trick-or-treaters candy of choice! (See here for our lauch of the line, back in 2008!)

But Sweet Fortune isn’t just available at Halloween. Rather, our full line is available year round, and generally included in our seasonal pricing guides!

For Thanksgiving, for example, the following Sweet Fortune flavors are available:

Bittersweet chocolate “fortune cookies” with gianduja (hazelnut milk chocolate) truffle filling, brushed with 23 karat edible gold dust

White chocolate “fortune cookies” with matcha green tea truffle ganache, milk chocolate, & sesame praline “dust”

Milk chocolate “fortune cookies” with lavender-infused white chocolate truffle ganache and candied violet

Bittersweet chocolate “fortune cookies” with Earl Grey Tea infused milk chocolate truffle filling

We also offer sweet fortunettes, an assortment of miniature solid milk chocolate “fortune cookies” infused with garam masala, cardamom, and red chili pepper

Each order of Sweet Fortune chocolates comes in a festive take-away box with seasonal ribbon. Each box contains 12 chocolates (6 “cookies,” each of which is spilt into two halves), filled with creamy ganache.
