Countdown to Thanksgiving: Krispy Cereal Treat Sunflower Pops

We continue our countdown to Thanksgiving, by looking at some of our favorite Thanksgiving desserts, confections, and treats created in past years. All of the items we are covering are available on the 2010 Thanksgiving Pricing Guide (available by clicking here). Give us a call or send us an email with questions or orders. We look forward to contributing to your special Thanksgiving gathering!

Yesterday, we looked at our Pumpkin and Bittersweet Chocolate Cheesecake. Today, we turn our attention to something more whimsical and childlike—krispy cereal treats the shape of autumn sunflowers! These treats are perfect for the kids at your holiday gathering… and the adults as well!

We start with a gooey marshmallow base, infused with a touch of vanilla, to which we add crispy cereal bits. Hand-molded into sunflower shapes (additional shapes available for other holidays!), these treats are then partially enrobed in Belgian bittersweet chocolate, and decorated with milk and white chocolates.

Colorful and festive autumn sprinkles finish these fun treats!

Placed upon sticks for easy eating (or without, if desired), wrapped individually, and tied with autumn ribbon, “bouquets” of these sunflowers make not only a great gift, but also a great centerpiece!
