Halloween 2010: Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirled Brownies

We continue our review of orenji’s Halloween 2010 “treats” with a look at another “favorite” of ours—and of our friends and clients. Bittersweet chocolate brownies with pumpkin cheesecake swirl! These delectable treats are one of our most popular items—both at Halloween and at Thanksgiving!

We begin with a classic bittersweet chocolate brownie base, made with the finest in dark Belgian cocoa and extra virgin olive oil. The olive oil contributes not only a deep taste, but the fruited undertones work perfectly with the sweetness of the pumpkin! A dash of sea salt makes these brownies rich and flavorful! Pumpkin liqueur adds depth to these already dense chocolate brownies!

We then make our classic orenji cheesecake base, flavored with fresh roasted sugar pumpkin, Tahitian vanilla, and autumn spices. Smooth and creamy, this pale orange base is swirled throughout the brownie, adding a flavor and textural contrast.

Decorated with seasonal decorations, and cut into generous squares, we are told that these are so delicious, and so rich, it is difficult to eat an entire brownie in one sitting—but even more difficult to stop eating it!
